Xiaoyan Ma I am a Ph.D. student in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Purdue University, where I am advised by Prof. Christopher G. Brinton. I am fortunate to be advised by him and deeply appreciate his guidance and support. My research interests include federated learning, machine learning security, wireless communications, reconfigurable intelligent surfaces, and integrated communication and sensing. My current work focuses on over-the-air federated learning, backdoor defense in distributed learning systems, and intelligent wireless system design.
